Welcome!   

The Bloomington Crime Prevention Association (BCPA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose primary focus is to raise money for community based crime prevention programs.

We are best known for our annual fundraiser, the Book'Em Used Book Sale, one of the largest used book sales in the Midwest. 

The next Book'Em Used Book Sale will be held in June of 2024.  Please check back in early spring of 2024 for more information regarding donation sites and sale dates.  We appreciate the incredible support we receive from the community and our volunteers for making the sale happen and look forward to seeing you at the next sale.

During the past 6 year period, our sales at Book'Em have been in excess of the amount awarded in grants.  This allowed a surplus to be accumulated and a portion of that surplus was presented as 2021 Grant Awards to a number of organizations. ​ For a full list of grants please see recent grant awards.

An alternate way to support BCPA crime prevention initiatives is to become a member of BCPA.  Your tax-deductible contribution will help further our crime prevention efforts.
